Hello everyone. I just arrived here. Found this great free host somewhere on the net. Don't remember where! I was hosting my website at another host before, and moved in here as my previous host has an ownership change and the guys started pushing for paid hosting and the servers went real crazy.

Btw, is it allowed to name other hosts here?

I want to ask, why the numbers in the name?

As far as mentioning other hosts, it would be the motivation behind it. If you did so to compare, I may be more in-tuned to say yes but if you did it to advertise then I would always say no.

Hi Jeff,

"ameer1234567890" is the username that I use almost everywhere possible. It is unique and has become kind of an identity for me now. wink Unfortunately, my hosting account username is different as you do not allow more than 8 characters. Any plans to allow more than 8 characters (15 characters for me), or any possibility of an exception for me. I would love that, although not of priority!

As for mentioning other hosts, I was going to mention my previous host's name. Needless to say, I wont advertise, because I came here in search of better hosting than them. It was 110MB btw! Was a great host before, but after change of ownership things are turning for worse. Also, after coming here, I felt why I haven't knew about FreeBeeHosting before. The features here are way better than 110MB. Indeed, this is THE best host I could find upto now. wink Basically, if I find a better host, I may run off. Hehe...

I've used their service before, but that was awhile ago. Also remember that more features are not always better, compare uptime and age of the host, etc.

Features is just one of the several considerarions, of course!

Btw, why do the forum have several URLs for the same thread? Like http://www.freebeehosting.com/forum/vie … p?pid=7044 and http://www.freebeehosting.com/forum/vie … p?pid=7043 which goes to the same thread? Bug?

Edit: Just one more question? Why do I have three databases when I log in to PHP MyAdmin? But I created only one and it shows only one in DirectAdmin.

Not sure on the topics.

One database should be information_schema, which is fine and just for information purposes. One should be your database. What's the other? DirectAdmin will only show one, because you only own one. smile

the test database is also inputted by direct admin and is a default database as well. the only one you need to interact with is the one you created.

On a second note, the forum rss feed needs some tunin, I guess. Is this a custom built forum? It's so clean and easy to use.

Nah you cant use the test database, direct admin needs it. As for the forums, they are called phunBB i think, but they are also modified to suit our needs. We will be having our own custom forums eventually.
