Hello,
Before I request a free hosting account, I have a few questions.
What software is used for account management, cPanel or something else?
Am I allowed to modify MX records and add CNAME records?

We use the DirectAdmin control panel. You can demo it here http://www.directadmin.com/demo.html
DNS Management is disabled on free hosting services, but we do offer it on our paid packages.

before I applied for a Freebeehosting account in May 2009,
we had an e-mail conversation where you wrote as quoted:
"I truly believe you have nothing to worry about with us and i can assure you that none of the mentioned problems will be present in our free hosting. Unlike many hosting providers we specialize in free hosting and the happiness of our users is vital to our success."
Your words were related to things presently limited because of pricing plans.
For example, in the beginning I was able to manage CNAME and MX records to use Google Apps, now it's gone. I believe some of us, who may truly be called early adopters or early birds, who went through fire and water with you, deserves this little privilege to be preserved.
