Topic: Sub-domain down again

My sub-domain (directory.thealluredproject.co.cc) is down with my browser saying it cannot find the server. the parent domain (thealluredproject.co.cc), however is working fine. i cannot figure out why this might happen. any ideas?

I posted about this same issue a while back. George said he didn't see any problems, and when i checked it for my self, it was back. it seemed to have fixed itself, or someone accidentally fixed it while doing something else. i just wrote it off as one of those weird things that just happen sometimes. But now this same thing has happened a few times. it goes down for about half of a day to a full day, and comes back. it can be pretty frustrating, and i would like to find the cause so i can work on fixing it.

oh, and it is on server 5, which seems to have some trouble lately. could that be the cause?

any help on this is very much appreciated. thanks

Re: Sub-domain down again

Is the subdomain pointing to another server or just a subdirectory of your account?

Also, if this happens again post a tracert of both your main domain and a subdomain so we can get an idea of what's happening. smile

it's just a directory in the parent domain's public_html...

thanks for the idea. i've done each separately, but never thought to tracert both when this is happening. next time it happens, i'll be sure to do it.

thanks again,
brad
